Children's Dentistry

Your Children's Dentist Keeps Them Healthy

As children's teeth are very prone to cavities during their growing years, we emphasize the importance of taking good care of their teeth. We ask parents to supervise their brushing and flossing until they have learned to do a good job on their own.

Children often eat throughout the day, called "grazing," and this causes more continual exposure to acid on their teeth. Improperly cleaned teeth also stimulate the production of acid, which will increase cavity development. We recommend improved dietary choices and better dental hygiene. One application of a fluoride varnish will also mineralize the teeth and greatly help to reduce the onset of decay.
